Melissa Pieterse

Melissa started music lessons at age 7 and has now been playing the piano for 15 years. She completed her Grade 8 piano exam through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in 2016, and is now working towards her Associate of Trinity College London Performance Diploma. She has accompanied choirs, soloist singers and instrumentalists, and also played for many weddings as a solo pianist or with string and brass ensembles. In her personal playing, Melissa has a passion for pieces in the romantic and French impressionistic styles, as well as more modern film scores. She also completed her Trinity College London Grade 8 flute exam in 2018. 

 

Currently, Melissa is a 5th year MBBCh student (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) at the University of the Witwatersrand.
