Contemporary dance is taught creatively at the choreographer’s choosing. There is a strong base of pilates, ballet technique and line quality incorporated into classes. Holly combines her love of Jazz- Fusion styles and fitness into classes.
Graham-based Contemporary classes increase range of motion, connect of the weight of the body into the floor, and work the contraction and release of core muscles. Incorporating and practicing this style of contemporary can bridge the gap between the ballet dancer who moves accurately into the dancer who communicates through the movement. Graham-based classes incorporate strong Pilates principles.
