Mandy Fivaz

GUEST MUSIC THEORY TEACHER

Mandy’s first memories include the yearning to dance. Her Royal Academy of Dancing Ballet training began in Johannesburg at the age of six. After graduating from High School, she attained her National Certificate in Dance at the Pretoria Technikon. Mandy’s career as a professional dancer spans a period of 20 years (1997 – 2017). She was a member of PACT dance company from 1997 to 1999 performing nationally and internationally with the company. In 2000 she became a freelance dancer. She has performed, choreographed, and taught various dance styles throughout South Africa, as well as on international contracts including Taiwan, Singapore, the Seychelles, India and Israel. In 2008 she commenced training in the Cecchetti method and in 2017 attained a Distinction for her Cecchetti Associate exam. In 2009 Mandy decided to include her other passion - Music - to her teaching repertoire. Mandy has taught Music  at many different schools. Her skills include playing and teaching the Guitar and Ukulele. Mandy’s teaching endeavors are guided by the love and joy of seeing her students learning to express themselves.
