Excellence in any field is won by diligent training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.  - Aristotle

Dear Friends,

I am excited to serve as Managing Director of Johannesburg Arts Conservatory.

JAC was created to provide oversight, funding, and facilities for training, leadership, and guidance for the performing artist, whatever road they finally embark on. After a short career as a professional dancer, raising my 4 children, and then moving across continents to South Africa, the specially designed team has come together to make a big impact on the South African dance community through JAC and its association with Elite. Together our vision is to create a strong platform from which quality dancers are launched into the world. JAC is a Non-Profit Organisation that relies completely on the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and operates with the goal of maintaining biblical principals. It does not discriminate, nor does it hold the training of the dancer in a place of more importance than the health of the individual person. JAC's desire to make a lasting positive impact on every staff member, student, and patron of the arts. From the beginning of life to our last breath, we have a chance to live, and give life to others through what we say, do and create. My hope is to inspire others to look deeper than what’s on the surface.

JAC exists to promote and foster dance excellence and education in South Africa. If you would like more information about ELITE or JAC or how you or your business can partner with us to change the lives of young artists one student at a time, please email me at holly@thejac.co.za. We would love to offer a free class or two for your students.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Elite and JAC, and our wonderful staff of committed and inspiring teachers, thank you for your continued partnership with Elite and support of the Arts in Johannesburg!
